John and Connie married in 1970 and had two daughters; Shelia and Stacy. A son, Shawn, passed away on August 4, 1985 at the age of five, so the farm became the "Memory Lane."
At Memory Lane we farm and raise cattle, with the help of our three grandsons; Colten, Dawson and Caleb. The boys and John are busy farming and putting up hay for the cattle.

They are also working hard at getting a Piedmontese that is a Myostatin and Homozygous Black and Homozygous Polled. We are using Angus in our cross to get this black 2 copy animal. We are getting very close to getting this animal.
We now have 2 copy black bulls that are Homozygous Polled and a 2 copy Homozygous Black bull, so we are getting closer to the animal that we are looking for.
We have a nice group of cows and bulls that we are working with to get this cross that we need.
